Comment: I was born in Wharton,County.My grandparents,Mr.Charlie W Scott and Mrs.Ida Scott were born in Wharton,County.They had eleven children. My parents are Mr. Charlie Scott Jr and Frozine Scott,they had six children. I was checking out the Historical Sites along with the Rich History of my hometown. I am considering coming home and opening a Bed and Breakfast.

Comment: My great grandfather, John A. Young, is buried in Wharton. He lived in Fayette County, but was in Wharton when he died. I think there is a connection with confederate veterans. His widow, Margaret Inez Hunsucker Young, probated his estate in Wharton County. I plan to visit again soon. I grew up on the Colorado River in both Fayette and Bastrop counties. What an historical area!

Mom and dad, brother and sister and all 7 of their boys, ( brother has 5 and sister has 2 (twins).. ) still live in WHARTON... My wifes family also lives there still... KEEP THE PICTURES COMING.... Comment: William Kincheloe was a relative, a brother to a ggggg grandfather. He came here in 1821 and donated the land for the courthouse but died in 1835 befroe he was able to see the Republic of Texas born. He was from my grandmother's family.
